Baby fish food
Try Liquifry #1 (for egg-layer fries) or green water algae; most other fish food are too big to fit into the mouths of these tiny babies.
Don't overfeed (result: cloudy water due to excessive decaying food) and also don't have your breeding tank too clean (not enough micoorganisms for the fries). Throw in some plants (such as hornwort, water hyacinth, water lettuce) to balance the water chemistry and a pinch of finely chopped lettuce to start the microorganism growth for feeding the fries. Note: My beta breeding tanks are natural with no aeration/pump/filter, and no water change; just topping up for water evaporation. Cover the tank with netting as the stagnant water encourages mosquito breeding as well. |

when the eggs are hatched,i add 2-3 drops of liquifry to the tank... when the fry hatched it clings on to the java moss... i think they are eating out the infusoria...
