Need Advice on Lighting Requirement

lets say...if i plan to keep corals such as...leather, mushrooms, some hammers, bubbles, torch coral...and some green/red algae, what should be my lighting requirement? thanks

My Nano tank is have PL lighting whereas the main tank is having T5 HO lighting ..

PC or T5 HO will be good enough to sustain LPS, 4 tubes r good enough. I light mine 3 tubing cos electricity ever increasing

ok thanks. think i will go for T5 then it is a 2ft height tank, PL may not reach the bottom of tank.

to be more specific, is it 4 tube of white? or 2 white and 2 blue? or ???
and is 10,000k good enough?

For T5 is better to get those HO, All fluorensence isn't good at penetrating at a ht of 2 foot, be it PC or T5. 3 full spetrum white light 10k with i actinic is good.

2 x 20,000k + 2 x blue actinics ...

Doesnt look enough for me tho

T5 will be a good choice , 4 tubes will do.

Bro, IMO.my suggestion is to go all the way out with 2 x Aqualight CoralBlue and 2 x 10K. Forget about actinic as CoralBlue is really good and definitely good for your coral.

Bro, remember to get HO (high output) ones. 2 feet will be 24 watt, no lesser than that.

This is probably true if u were to consider watt per gallon. So long as all ur corals get enough lights & growing well then u should not be worry much.
