Thumbs up Kwong Ling Framemaker

Hi All,

I just want to post the good experience I had at Kwong Ling Framemaker yesterday...

I wanted to get him to drill a hole in my tank as I want to
DIY a sump with an existing tank...

From what I read there were problems with my plan...

One: The worry that the bottom piece of glass is tempered glass and I couldn't tell...

Two: I didn't had the tools and had to buy a diamond cutter, variable drill...

Three: Alot of threads do not suggest I do it myself and suggest that I leave this to the professionals...

In the end I went to Kwong Ling Framemaker (I drove down with both my tanks) and seriously Mr Hong the boss was really very nice... Very humorous person and he even gave me tips on what to do with my DIY project...

All in all I made 03 pieces of glass for the sump area, 02 pieces of dark coloured glass (They dun have opaque black glass) for my overflow plus drill a hole in the main tank (Mine is a 2ft tank)... Plus he will be sticking all the pieces for me plus the support for the eggcrate (Total support will be 03 sets)...

I think I'm not supposed to state clearly the amound I paid so I will only say it's 04 red notes... To me this is very cheap versus the amounts I saw in some threads... I saw some that stated it's $200 and I made some calls & the cheapest quote I received was $70 to come to my place to drill (And that's just for making the hole)...

I highly recommend for all the bros who are into DIY to get their stuff done with Mr Hong for glass related matters, he can help you and best of all with a good price...
