i give live tubiflex all the time....when run out, use mosquito larvae, when run out, last resort, frozen bloodworms...

Balanced and Varied Diet
Ah...a pet subject of mine. Speaking as one who hope to see my bettas thrive and not merely survive, a balanced and varied diet is critical. I feed my bettas frozen Hikari bloodworms, frozen Hikari brine shrimp and Momizi All-Tropical pellets and when I can find them, the occasional live mosquitoes and mosquito larvae. My fries are raised on a diet of freshly hatched baby brine shrimp, home-grown microworms and when they are larger, I switch them to the diet of the adults as highlighted above.
Will be training my future spawns to take the highly touted New Life International Spectrum Food (for Small Fishes), currently available for S$12 at Clementi Blk 328 (much to my dismay as I had paid a fortune to get them in from the States, although it is a bigger bottle). The adults do not like this new food. |

* Fries (6 days to 3 weeks) - daphnia * Fries (3 weeks onward) - tubiflex * Fries (1 month onward) - tubiflex or forzen blood worm * Adult betta - forzen blood worm |

for me.....here its go...
before hatch...i put in Liquifry No 1 day1- day 3 Liquifry No 1 day3-two month old...daphnia after that...if they are big enough to eat forzen blood worm...i'll feed them...if not i will give them Hikari Multi-vitamin Enriched daphnia..or so called dry daphnia...$8.00 per bottle lar.... i try not to use tubi lar... all my Adult betta will eat dry and forzen B- worm lar... maybe will try out on beef heart lar....will let you all know again... |
