the idea is to get them to bite/peck at hard object.. so that their teeth get 'damaged' in the process.
thanks. leaving dead clams in the water overnight, would that pollute and cloud my tank water? cos live snails wouldnt.

What i do is i freeze the clam, then open them up at nearly 180 degrees and just put them in. Any bros care to inform me if this is the right way to do that??

yup.. dead clams/leftover food must be removed from tank.

btw, urs is those golden puffer right? If yes, I think feeding with those ghost shrimps and ramshorn snail shd be enough to keep their teeth in check..

those clams..apple snail.. shell can be very hard.. even my ex - fahaka (big) had difficulties crushing them.

Do provide some coral chips ... I noticed some of my ex-puffers would go bite them.

Even my 10 inch fahaka cannot open a clam by itself. Need to open for them bro den u can take away the meaty part and let em peck at the meat closest to the shell
