very risky practice, i dun think its good as fish will be stress up. not worth to do this anyway.

rays are ok as long as your bbg are not their bite size.

Dropping groupers into 1.010 water immediately will not kill it. I have tried this with truly expensive Polleni grouper. The thing that will kill is pH change. As long as the water is of the same pH value there's not much to worry about.

Anything below 1.010 will kill any true marine fish in the long run.

Hi Bro,

Thanks for sharing this info. How long do you think we need to gradually lessen the salt content to successfully convert the fish to FW? I read that the fish may up the lorry in the long run due to kidney failure. If thats the case, wouldnt those converted BBGs sold at LFS eventually die also from lack of salt? I very hands itchy thinking of trying converting...

Hi Bros,

Have a few questions to ask after seeing this species which made me damn itchy

1) How many of these cuties can a 6x2x2 hold?

2) How long/often do we have to put salt?

3) What is the ideal PH level (with or without salt)?

4) What does it feed on?

5) How many water change per week is ideal?

I am in the midst of sourcing for a 6x2x2 (or maybe 2) and am thinking of using it for the BBGs if they are not that difficult to maintain.

If too hard (because of the whole salt/PH or water change frequency) then maybe I will use my tank for another monster (i.e. Aimara, etc)
