sky_walker,
my discus tank is 28 - 29C (top tier)
mainly 29C.

i guess the shrimp tank would be 29C without fan also..
its currently hovering around 26 - 26.5C daily.

thanks rainman, i guess the 2 x PL is the key to the fast growth.. i seems to expierence faster growth of my xmas moss than any other set up.

algae spotted : Green spotted algae(glass) , brown algae(glass) hair algae ( moss) and green hair algae(moss).. i had manually removed most of them.. might get nitrite snails to solve the glass algae problem..

..
What is PL? does it mean Plant Light?
What is your current watt per PL and ideally how many watt does a plant needs for a 1 footer nano tank?

My water temperature is always between 27C to 28C, will the plant grow?

Did you also add plant booster solution? I saw a red liquid bottle selling at Colourful for 1 red note. The boss told me he used it to lush up his aquascape.

PL is power compact if im not wrong.
they are 13x2 watt. 1footer 13watt will do.

did u went to colourful at 12+? i saw a guy asking richard if he dose ferts for his plants. he recommand the fert(forget what name) and said a few drips will do..
i personally dun use any ferts.. they are bad for crs.

OK, took note of the watt.
Yup, I was the one asking the boss about the fert. I truly admire how he maintained all tropical plants in tip-top condition - some even bloomed inside his tanks!!! Wish I knew his secret. Anyway, don't think I will keep any shrimps for now. My wild betta killed my blue Yamoto shrimps recently and the killer which is smaller than the shrimp, is employing a tactic of hurting the softspot - mouth.

I also admire Richard's planted setup. Very nicely maintain. Growth is also just nice, coz I have not seen him trimming often. His setup has a soothing effect. However, I like his collection of his Crs even more.
