My cls are slowing at a very slow rate. From 2 inch to 3.5 inch in about 4-5 months time. Is this consider normal rate? My group of cls loved fbw hence I had been feeding them fbw for these few month. Is the any food that will help to pump them up? Will feeding mp or sinking pellets be better for their growth rate? Thanks for the advice.

generally fish the bigger the fish, the hardier it gets... Small clown loach are more prone to white spot.

I think having more of them will make them more brave. I got about 23 pieces of cl inside my tank and they are always coming near the tank glass swimming up and down the glass. Maybe the type of food I fed can also contribute to making them bravier. I only fed them FBW hence as these FBW go into the tank, they are push around the tank by my pump hence making the cls chasing after them (I setup a stronger than required pump system for my tank to give them a better current flow). Last time I tried giving them sinking pellets but notice that they only move more around the bottom area of the tank. Maybe tank mates also contribute some factors. I got 8 SD inside who will really give chase to the FBW. Hence the cls will have to move faster than the SD if they want to have their meal. Those are just some of my thinking and may not be really true. Anyway, you will never know if you try right?

So if I were to get them, will their black strip turn darker as they go older?
It depends on what they eat actually.. good food = good colour.. try feeding malaysia trumpet snail.. they will go crazy and it helps improve its colour..
