If you keep your CRS at this low ph range and if you tap water is soft and tank GH is low, the color will ran also.

Many Japaneses Pro keep their CRS in GH range of 4 to 6, and their CRS color is the best in the world, if just by keeping CRS in this GH range CRS will die, will there be any more CRS in Japan? Actually what they did was to keep their shrimps in mineral rich water and higher GH since young, that will nuture them to better color since young.

The conclusion I have reached is, low pH better use higher GH. High ph, use low GH.

ahhh... heres another tip from master silane! master silane leaves tips for newbies like us here and there.. so we learn step by step!

I dont think im overdoing it. lol, my shrimps arent really molting leis only some white shell once in awhile.
I'm quite cheapskate so I really use minimum mineral plus, i think silane is right, i add too little liao... but then again, my tank over here isnt CRS, its deep blue orange eye tigers + cherries. And my pH is 7. (coz over here theres no such thing as GeX or ADA) and he said high pH low GH. lols

*confused*

But yup, i'm keeping my shrimps on old style "no special power" gravel :P no fancy stuff.

I'm a bit worried tho, coz apparently deep blue tigers are as easy to kill as sss mosuras, coz tigers dun breed true, and the deep blue orange eye gene pool is really REALLY small. o well, will see how it goes.
