very nice ST u have there bro!!!

anyway i just bought 2 STs to be put into my aro tank... tank size is just ordinary 4 ft tank... using blackwater to bring out the redness in my chilli red aro... but after a while, the STs turn pitch black... i had 1 IT inside which is alright... so is it because it is under stress? bad water conditions (i change water once a week, around 20-30%)? or is it the black water?

Bro mind sharing the pic of your newly bought ST? ST wont go pitch black like IT do. Unless you refer to a 3 bar IT?

sorry my DC spoilt liao, so can't take photos lor... anyway if that's true, maybe i got conned liao leh... anyway i didn't pay that much for the so-called ST also... they sold those fishes as Siamese Tigers in a comm tank, and selling for RM 80 each only... so most probably i got ITs instead of STs la...

i know ST pricing is very high, right?

Yes ST price is high but look at the bright side. Evn if u pay $80rm for a 3 bar IT, it's still consider cheap the our side.

anyway in KL, ITs are generally cheap... u can get those 1-2 inch ones for as low as RM 25-30 if u know how to find them...

so i think i got ripped off for my RM 80 IT which turned black... so xian la....

oh ya, for ITs that turned black, what is the cause? what is the cure? is it due to blackwater or is it stressed out by my 14 inch red aro? will it recover and turn gold again? how long will this blackness take before it disappears? anyone managed to nurse their black IT back to gold IT?
