For example, lets say you fed ur fahaka a big crayfish den normally he will shit it out within the night or so and its really obvious because the shit looks abit like crayfish rojak. But if after a day or so, you dont see any shit ard e tank and ur fahaka looks dark as hell den you know something is wrong. Den you adminster the epsom salt and pray that it works |

adult & baby ... different..
healthy & sick.... also different.. fahaka are labeled as active hunter type of puffer.. if it just hide most of the time, where do u think it get its food? IMO something must be wrong somewhere that make it want to hide most of the time.. agree? Quote:

I dunno why nowadays arofanatics takes so long to load..very frustrating..damn singtel
Anw whehter you use aquairum salt or marine salt to treat ich all depends on the type of puffer. Fresh water use aquarium, brackish use marine |

the playing with keeper.. is a bonus lah. and from what I see.. is also due to boredom.. It needs us for entertainment.. and when we don't play with it.. It will find other sources(which in my case.. None) or just face wall and stone.. very bad for its health i feel.. that's why it is extremely important to keep it in big huge tank.. with 'complex' deco... to let it explore ard.. play ard.. to keep it entertain and its mind stimulated.. Hunting (quarantined) live food is also a good play/workout for them. |

Anyway i went down to amk and got their last 2 remaining fahakas, looks very listless and abit skinny and one of them coloration was very dark so i was relunctant, wanted to get 1 only but the guys there persuade me to clear their last 2 for a discount, so here i am with 2 fahakas. lol. need to rack brains on partitioning my 422 til i have another contingency plan. Just to play it safe, i started on an immediate water change and immediately start them on internal parasites treatment since they are wild caught and have been fed feeder fish in the lfs. Surprisingly they are very active and swimming around in the tank now and colors have brighten up. They started eating immediately too. crossing my fingers and hope all goes well |
