haha, i think i will go up to 3 U tubes for any just in case. hee hee.

will need to worry about air lock or blockage if i place air stone nears it.

my ideas comes from Aqua Bridge

but i will need some very fine netting to prevent shrimplets from crossing over.

Yah, I have thought about it before. But the practical aspects of it seem pretty flawed.

Got. Go look at the search for habitrail hamster stuff. Only drawback is that you got to seal the tubes yourself. Otherwise I think it would be perfect.

Anyway what is the objective of joining the 2 tanks?

hee hee, yah, need to seal the tube 100% air proof myself. i "think" i have confidence in doing this aqua bridge as i had gain some experience from making DIY overflow pipes from my ex shrimp rack.

the main objective is to have water flow from Tank A to Tank B. The rain bar will be in Tank A, water flow through the bridge and into Tank B. The inlet of the filtration system will be the under gravel system in Tank B.

Schematic will be :-
Tank A -> Water Bridge -> Tank B -> Under Gravel Panel -> Pre Filter -> Ehiem 2026 (plug in) -> Jet 3688 (dummy)-> chiller-> Rain Bar -> Tank A.

Hehehe. Chiller saving solution eh. I like the idea.

Your ehiem is going to be way over worked. Provided you can get an equilibrium in the flow that is.

hee hee, i can always plug in my Jet 3688 to have higher flow rate if my ehiem decided to rest. BTW, the flow rate now without Tank A and the bridge is around 600LPH as indicated on the gauge of my Ehiem 2026.

Drill hole on both side of the tank and connect using PVC pipe? I got 15mm hole saw can lend you. Confirm fail safe but need to clear the life stock to my tank first before drilling...
