ya. its Malayan Box Turtle. they r only approved for pets back in 2006. but so far havent seen any LFS selling them.

u mean PNT or SST?

PNT is due to them listed in CITES II back in early 2005 then the origin countries banned export. so sg ban them as pets.

SST shld b cos scared ppl release into reservoirs n ponds n spoil the local eco system.

i only noe what SST eats

they eat fishes
they will hide in the sand. any small fish that goes near it.....
it will snap at it and eat it.

it can also take waterbirds when it is bigger

bsplenden is right. PNT's diet consist mainly of plant matters. its not right to give them a high protein diet. pellets that contains ard 30% or less of protein is recommended for them.

One thing for sure, those who deal with SST one will tell you they are no angel and are super aggressive.

that's right.

and not only that. to fully complement their jaws which pack quite a punch, they are able to extend their necks by quite a bit too. thus extending their reach.

so sad right...because of idiots like these...alot of interesting stuff cannot keep liao...last time when im young ar...lfs sell those star torts like free...now wanna find ..ban liao...sian 1/2 man...but i remembered koji u posted saying ur arapaima from rainbow farm...before they banned it? or are they still selling them, tagged?
