Their colors sometimes will change slightly. Red or brown specks seem just about right. Their natural tendencies is to look for hiding places. But when there is a population explosion then they behave just like people in cities.. meaning they'll be everywhere!

haha...
i think all malayan now also got some patterns on them...
cos they interbreed etc...
mine got some black stripes...
i think their colour will change when the eat stuff.....
u can get them out by throwing in an algae wafter....

Btw they are naturally very curious. So if you have anything new and colorful just leave it at the bottom of the tank and you should attract all of shrimps over to see see look look. You don't really have to worry about dead shrimps - any dead ones will be quickly eaten up by their brethlings! Plus dead shrimps should be delicacy to most fish also I think.

yea went to c328 florist just now n i finally bought a pack of malayan shrimp at $2 hmm about 10++ peice inside but got 3 have babies de ..sad to say when bought them home den 1 of the shrimp tat is pregnat is dead

and i also bought a packet of tiger shrimp

hahas... my super dark brown female giving bitrth soon i think.. but confirm kena eaten by other fish..
C328 now having lots of melayan shrimp.. from 30piece to 50piece in a pack also have

got meh??? y i always go there never saw de only saw many packs of tiger shrimp and red cherry shrimp n yamato n i only saw 1 packet of melayan shrimp which i bought it
