Just saw the first molting by my SS today. Think wont be tat fast for the PRls as i oni got them yesterday.

Maybe the benibachi soil does helps, but I am still not confident of wat GC say of putting in the shrimps on day 3. I used back most of my medias and canister that had been running for the past 3 mths and also 30% of the water fm my 422 tank to help in the cycling process.

Btw, had some queries, shifus/ expert please help

1. Understand that charcoal are good as it absorb the impurities etc. Saw GC putting the charcoal in the tank. Had check with them and they say its not for sale. Is charcoal piece safe for shrimping and where can i get them?

2. I had a bottle of Dark water essence. As the label say dark water creates a more natural environment, can it be added to the shrimp tank?

I never heard of dark water to add to shrimp tank, maybe I'm also ignorant. But I dare not try out solutions not made for shrimps as they are sensitive. I only add abit of mineral plus and BT9 to their tank water.

I think black water is the same as dark water. It will decrease your pH. Yours is already at 5.8 which I find it's rather low already so better not add it into your tank
