Albino Bull frog breeding programme , anyone ?

My habitat is a 7ft x 7ft x 3ft high fgt .

Water only 1 feet high , placed some inverted carton box n Aquatic plants / ferns for froggy to rest .

Net above is more to deter any entry of monitor lizard or snake .

Currently housing 6 pcs of adult albino frogs and hope that they will breed soon .

Will place a floating platform with basket for their food daily .

Wow, 7x7x3 feet tank, that would definitely be enough for your 6 frogs.
I'm guessing you keep them outdoors in a farm?
How long have you kept yours and what do you feed them with?
I feed mine with live foods only. Crickets, superworms, feeder fishes/frogs, and even house geckos.

Used to keep mine in plastic container ( like yours ) till recently then decide to upgrade them to this "bungalow" as they seems to have grown bigger .

How do you change the foul water in your tank ? Filter out or pour out ?

As for diet , we feed also similar items.

My farm bred small tilapia are their favourite...but now in these new environment, has to reconsider how to feed them so that the fishes won't "escape in the wild" and end up eating frog eggs next time lor

I kept mine (4pcs ) from 2" for almost a year already and had recently acquired 2 more to join them.

Fgt is under shelter and does gets some mornings sun, hope these plant n ferns can thrive in there...

Now considering how to add a timer with rain-bar for them , and maybe with additional light fixture "day light" if need to ...

Thanks or sharing the video , so they are afterall not "odd ball" as I thought so earlier , but just 1 type of common yellow frog .

Anyway , its my challenge and interest to get my Pets breed , so will still continue trying la.

Btw - so far had witness 2 out of 6 that croaks ...

I manage to source America cockroach as well recently ,but yet to collect , will send you the contact if you want .

May drop by frog farm n try get some pellet from Mr Wan n learn from him about breeding lor . Used to rent his place for fish keeping earlier days.

Hi Simon,

I have a HOB filter in the water to filter out the junk. So far I only have to do WC couple times, but have to clean the filter more often. I think you will need to have a cannister filter for your setup.

Do share the contacts for american cockroach (live or frozen?), been looking for roaches to feed my bullfrogs and GTF's too.

As for the video, it seems that there are different colour variants, here is a pic of the albino's and some normal coloured ones. However, I noticed that the yellow frogs in the pic have black eyes unlike ours with reddish eyes.



Do share more tips on breeding from Mr Wan, would like to know how to make mine breed too. If possible, perhaps I could view your setup in person?

I remember hearing that the frogs are cannnibals and will eat tadpoles and each other if sizes are incompatible. Do watch out for that.
