Mine is in a 3ft tank, both separated by a divider. When I see them swimming peacefully, they orhorh one, even when hunting for food. But when being placed together side by side on Day 1, both keep flaring at each other, very stable.

I got 7 pieces in a white tank. Only the biggest one is swimming, the rest all parked properly. All pass TP test with flying colours. So I guess the big one very unstable? *I unstable become stress*

Flaring is aggression, not stress, fish will be super aggressive, stable and even colour up to intimate the other.Unless the one run away show stable colour and the alpha become orh orh then it can establish the theory.

Thats exactly the case in my tank! The dominant one who keep chasing is very unstable while the one that get chased is stable. Maybe its a diff case for each tank, there are also many relax tigers i've seen cruising the tank which are also very stable.

Actually when a tiger is dying, the color is always what many people claim "stable". And many have also reported of such instance. If you were to net a unstable black tiger up, it becomes "stable" out of water....? Try disturbing a black black tiger inside the tank and you'll realise they will turn "stable" Gradually I realise a black IT is a laid back stable IT and a " stable" IT is actually in stress, battle mode. |

Not really sure about ST or NTT cause I dont keep them.
My NGTs are ... weird~ So the observations are based purely on IT. |
