Thanks, you may wish to check with jooster78 on how to make your gars eat pellet.

In actual fact, I'm a lousy fish keeper. All based on luck.

Thanks for the sharing on your observation.

However, I find that pallets are actually slower then market fish.
I based this assumption on the gars i own and that of a friend which now i also own. He feed his gator pallets and I feed market fish. Both feed some feeders now and then. My growth rate is about 1.5 times his.
So to conclude, pallets for me act as a supplement, some vitamins which feeding market fish alone do not have. But thats all, market fish still faster and cheaper.

I do not own tiger so I shall not comment.

BTW, I am also curious what ops you have done to the gar?
Thanks. Oh, now the i know to have gator to eat pellet is nothing great. Thanks for sharing. Market fish dont have vitamins? This point is very new to me.

Dont take it too hard hor. Just kidding.

I'm new to gar, collected a few over last few months for the purpose of killing my curiosity. On hand, not all are able to be pellet trained.

It's ok. But I do say specifically, that gators are relatively easy to palletize. Only gators. But not all the species. On the whole the Atractosteus group of the species are easier because of their aggressive nature. With gators at the top of the list.

Also the type of pallets does matter as well. I use the hikari carni sticks to start the training. To support the fact that gators take pallets quite easily, I tried with normal pallets and they still whack. The rest of the species not so ready to take pallets.

Hope u understand what I mean. I hope I did not offend u by demising ur effort.
