Yup, i strongly agree with you. Maybe a mixture of tap water shd be fine. But actually is not really a concern of wat water to use. Normal tap water shd be fine, gex soil will bring down the PH and GH shd be at a safe level.

The only concern is the toxic stuffs the soil going to let out. Cycle the tank properly is the thing to do.
