May luck be with you. And may your shrimps rest in peace, if anything happened.

Buy this liquid called Vermex from C328 or NA. A bro on this forum used it in his shrimp tank and it apparently got rid of his worm problem and without any shrimp casualties. Do a search using the word "Vermex" to dig up more info.

Yes I have come across a number of accounts that such medications, which are directed at animal or human intestinal parasites do work and are shrimp safe

I think I'll be especially interested in the dosage because after all we want to kill the worms without having any effects on our shrimps.

It would be great to hear about personal accounts

just a small update from this morning just before I left for work, I drop 2 drops (ok I know I need to tell u guys how much is 2 drops) into a small container of water from the tank (my tank is 2.5ft cube) mixed it and put the mixture back into the tank... this morning I saw alot of the planaria on the surface... not sure if they're dead or dying coz this is the first time I see so many of them on the water surface...

All shrimps are still happily swimming around...

will go back and update more

well good news, majority of planaria seems to be gone, only found a handful crawling around the tank wall...have just fed the shrimps to try and "bait" more planaria... will see if there's a significant decrease...

I've a mixture of C grade CRS, snowballs, sakuras, malayan, yamatos, low grade BDS, CPOs and a few micro crab.

Will update again... so far good news...

I think this was discuss in numerous threads and posts... the reason why they appear is overfeeding or left over food...

Another update this morning... there seem to have relatively lesser planaria and even after I fed the shrimps yesterday nite trying to bait the planaria out, there seem to be a decrease of them...

will attempt to add another 2 drops (this time I'll try and measure with a syringe) and update tmr...

the planaria shown appears very big ....
i have some small ones in mine tank currently
trying to get rid

i think the planaria hitchhike on plants and get into our tanks.

best to wash throughly the plants before introducing to main tank

Hey thanks guys for being the 'guinea pigs' and updating us on your findings. Much appreciated

I'm curious as to a number of things hope you can enlighten me:

1. When the Planaria die do they just float to the water surface for easy removal?

2. How do you determine dosage or are you experimenting?

3. Are the shrimplets affected at all?

I hear that Planaria do not just all die with a single treatment - please do update us on your continual progress

Thanks
