Sump tank will work also but thet set up will require more space. I will be putting the tank on my long desk. Actually I did have a 6 ft tank in my office for marine corals and fishes but lasted only one year as the canister filtration for marine tank is not good enough. I gave away the tank FOC to an AF bro. Now hand itchy to get a new 6 ft for crs

But gotta be careful about putting all your eggs into one tank. What I meant is if you have all the good grades in one tank, anything wrong with your tank means a compelte wipeout of all your CRS inside. But if it is solely for your own hobby and not trying to be a mass seller, then should be ok.

Many mass sellers use the strategy of investing in different tanks just in case one tank goes wrong. You still have others

Just my 2 cents worth.

id advise u to to get two filters too with quality media...

regarding aircon.. itl be best if this tank can be situated where the aircon blows the tank at all times...

wad will ur lighting system be..? office on the weekends, the tank temp will rise too high...... its better to get chiller..
May be I will get one of those portable air con unit in my office so that it is thermostat-controlled, i.e. on only when temp rises above 27oC, this will take care of temp when central air con is off during weekend.

I don't intend to be mass seller of crs, just for hobby only, I won't spoil the crs market by giving out FOC either. There is always risk involved when keeping crs, but the challenge to keep it going and with crs breeding is there.

With well cycled filtration system, larger tanks will have better advantage than small tanks, less water chemistry fluctuations in large tank compared to small ones.

Moss mainly but also some fast growing plants at the background to absorb the nutrients

A 2260 nick green dustbin will be good. Using powerhead 1260 approx 3000L/hr and if you add in quick release inlet/outlet then can control flow rate easily. Of course you need to have sponge protection @ intake.
