I feel that they can built higher instead of wider. Dunno if its due to duxton hype, i see that some new condos, in bishan or everton, are building to 49storey only when i believe they can go higher due to no air clearance height limitation. I have been to those new estates and when I see out of their windows, I see people in the next unit clearly. Seem like no privacy at all.
I also see that some blocks only got 1 coffeeshop with only 6-8 stores only. The only nearby mart is ntuc, or 1-2 other shops. Feel that older estates are better designed that those new estates as they offer more choices. Dun like to eat this coffeeshop, I can walk to next 1 within 10min. New estates have to take 1-2bus stop before u see coffeeshop. What a "good" design for new estates. |

Wall City already existed long ago. Look at Tanglin Halt. If you know e next block unit whose kitchen faces yours, you can just borrow some 'chew cheng' or 'kuay lng' using basket tied to a bamboo pole.

Feel for those who have to climb stairs when such events. However if we really wants 6.9million popultion, we may really have to go higher as not enough land space to clear liao. I climbed 12 storeys before, but take it as a good form of exercise.
Btw blackouts are so common mei? If so, how come not on news lei. So far my area no blackout except the time the major backout that affects the whole northern part of island. If so suay to have blackout so many times, something need to be done when hdb tender for contractors to build our flats liao. Not lowest price get contracts, but good reliable contractors gets it. Did u all lodge a complain about the blackout that happens so often? Or just live with it? |
