Ricky you are right that ZT imported them. You are indeed a good red player. The tool fish was to enhance the "chilli" red back into the orangie reds to make it "blood" red.

I think that it is more relevant to guppy hobby in Singapore better than bird talk.
My intention was to just highlight to those that want to make this a serious hobby and to improve the standard of the local guppies. If we as locals are not even proud of our local products, how can Singapore guppies compete with others? How can others be looking up to our guppies? Quote:

Mine is a hdb so no big open house like Dr Yeo. Ishykiel, Eric and a few others (low profile hobbyists) have seen my setup and my collection. Just PM me to arrange and it will more be a private one.
I have reduced my collection due to the coming Chinese New Year leaving minimal pairs for breeding and reduce my messy tanks on the floor. This is also in view of my 2nd rack setup so that I do not need to move so many fishes here and there and neglect them causing outbreaks while I concentrate on my new system. But I still have the line to continue but not more access until they breed again. Quote:

I have been to Derrick's place and I would say that he has a nice collection of guppies going there. Keep it up Derrick! Also, for everyone's general info. The fishes we have in Singapore have risen in standard TREMENDOUSLY, especially after the setting up of Guppy Club Spore and the steady inflows of fishes from overseas. And, also, to prove that we have gone up a mark, I have also received orders of my fishes from USA and Australia. This shows that our Guppies can make it in the international arena. We just have to continue our good efforts and maintain some form of discipline in sticking to the lines that we already have. To quote Stan Shubel, he worked on his Blue strain for more than 10 years and is still keeping that line till now. That is what I call pure dedication. To all Spore Guppy enthusiast, enjoy your hobby guys. Your dedication will never go unnoticed. Cheers! |

Thank you for your compliments. My aim is to bring up the standards of the guppies in Singapore and let people know that Singapore also have breeders that can breed nice fancy guppies. I am sure that we (given the commitment and having the passion) our guppies can be as nice as or even nicer than those that you buy from overseas.
If given the chance, our guppies should also participate in regional competitions to have more exposure and recognition in Asia at least. I am not so ambitious as you to be international at the moment. In due time, I am sure that the title of guppy kingdom will return to Singapore. Quote:
