Actually with just nanas and ferns, theres no need to use CO2 and bright lightings bro. No need CO2, and just normal FL or perhaps a set of PL will do. Really low maintenance tank.......maybe u can try on a 2ft first.

Anyway, white sand and rocks will look great too.

i think this setup is damn cool! fahaka sure will have a fun time living inside..
but if u feed live ghost shrimp..the deco might get 'rearrange'

i only got a 1.5ft planted tank... but settin up a 5ft is too challengin for me liao. haha so will keep as simple as possible. thanks for all the advise. still got many mths before i move the fish into the tank... but i already very kan chiong liao. haha

freshman the setup very nice! maybe for this period of time will try to see ppl's tanks for more idea... cos im realli uncreative. haha

Simple tank is better lah... Easier. But add some DW with hardy plants tied to them. Will be cool...

BTW, Freshman, your Fahaka the shit how?

it is what puffer eat is what puffer shit.... most imptly is not to have those long stringy shit..aka internal problem liao..

slightly complicated design can reduce its boredom..

u come back from thailand ah? any puffer there?

yeah....this setup can be acheived quite easily i think...just get a nice and tall DW, then place it down. Then get those nanas and ferns tied to small pieces of DW, then just place it, some below, some on the DW at different levels. Ok liao......will look great.

Just came back. Was at an internet cafe earlier on. Suffered from withdrawal symptoms and had to log on.

No puffers there. Only got a few nice LH. Lots of oriental whip snakes and corn snakes to be sold as pet. If only I can have one!
