Yah , agree that the moving part is stressful to the araipama .

The tricky part is the figure 8 like shape pond . If the pond is slightly wider in the middle , will be easier to move .

And talking about transmore , i think they will need maybe half a bucket of red pail ? ( too costly and there are also other fish in there )

There should be a kind of jab ? ( injection base drug for fish ? ) to temporarily put the big monster to sleep and transfer ?

Never shift arapaima with transmore IMHO cos once the fish is sedated.. it may drown..

Found the thread on another forum.. Don't know if can post here.

Anyway they had a guy swim in the tank with the arapaima to keep it from drowning, but they used a crazy amount of anaesthesia (200ppm).

easy leh just take those construction canvas and seal it up like a very big bag and bag the arapima gently he wont even know he was bagged until he goes into the bag.. then once in the bag add a little transmore if owner wants and voila thats all

I wouldnt dare imagine handling such a big fish. The sheer amount of stress the fish and I will be facing is incredible. Not good for the fish as well.

wow the way the fish just leaped out of the air! but poor thing it must have been so stressed and exhausted. I heard before that its dangerous for an arapaima to be lifted from the water because it could cause some blood vein to rupture. not sure if that is just for the vertical trophy shots.

Guys shifting the arapaima are so amateurish and sorta joking and playing with their tasks, poor fish. Thanks for sharing anyway.
