Better to invest in GH tester rather than assuming that GH value is increased due to not doing WC.

Well, I did a 10% water change the other day. Took out one scoop of water from the tank and added 3 scoops of dechlorinated water into the tank. shrimplets are doing well, hiding in the day and marauding at night lol

If possible and tank water remain crystal clear. No WC is needed, just top-up the amount evaporated (if you use fan). Also it depends on what canister you use too.

Better to do water change to reduce the the change of shrimp dying from hard molting issue.

I would say top up during the week if you have high evaporation. And do like 5% water change at the end of the week.

saw this thread so thought of sharing my experience.

I have tried Seachem, Cheapo Anti-Chlorine and Shizhen before and I will always get 1 or 2 deaths in the tank after water change. Really saddens my shrimp keeping journey. I always keep 2 bottles of 'Life' treated already for 1 week before changing but problem still persist.

Recently change to Life distilled only, seems better but yet to use long enough to comment much.

I am also starting to think not changing water is better because I did forget sometimes and shrimps were happy.

So what is what? I am confused.

Oh should I buy RO/DI filtration system? Is it worth it?
