6 - 7" is consider quite big Liao. Max size at 13" is simply huge taking into consideration the disc body shape. But a group is like how many? Is the breeding number n method similar to aro where we need to observe their pairing syndrome ?? It'll be interesting if we are able to spawn the hookers.

Bro Azon, how many do you have in all? Can showcase your collection??

I read on internet about spawning of Red Hook so I guess should be the same for EBH.. seems that they need a pond with lots of floating plants and the males will chase the female in between the roots of the plant and egg are deposited there.

I have 8pcs in my tank and something like 5 to 6pcs in the pond..

Oh tat means spawning can't occurs in tank lor... Wat if we create the environment like wat u mentioned? Hahs... Another thing bout ebh from Lfs understanding is that they are seasonal. That's why young fish aren't easily available. Is it true? I bought my small 1.5" ebh only recently at AH.

EBH are seasonal fishes cos they are collected during the dry season when the water level in the river is low. Adult EBH or most Amazonian fishes go though the dry season surviving with little food as the water runs low. The wet season started around Feb or March and rains til around August. When it's rains, it's pours over there. The river will be flooded and with the abundants of food and the changes in temp will trigger this fishes to spawn and hence we get small size EBH during this time of the year.

I believe we need a monster tank to spawn them as this are wild caught fishes. Monster tank in a sense than it's really huge like the size of a living room with Amazon setting but than can we stimulate the water condition in the wild????

Sharing what I know.. EBH is presently being attempt to spawn by injection so maybe they will be as successfully as Torsat or Pacu or maybe not like ST. Only time will tell..

Just my 2 cents..
