First off, sweet catch.

Second off, they'll probably not get as big in full freshwater and in captive conditions.

Third off, what helps in differentiating Megalops Atlanticus (Atlantic Tarpon) and Megalops Cyprinoides (Indo-Pacific Tarpon)?

Pretty easy to differentiate between the two :

M. atlanticus has 13-16 branched dorsal rays.
M. cyprinoides has 16-21 branched dorsal rays.

Those sold by AH are indeed M. atlanticus.

Thanks for the tip.

But does this mean that, other than the dorsal, the two look exactly the same?
