Like most bros shared, majority of those shrimps are SS grade only.

2 days in the tank, they should have adjusted to the water by now and restore their colors unless water perimeters are not suitalbe and putting them under stress.

Even if you placed them in tank for 2 weeks, 2 months, a SS will always remain as an SS and not into a SSS. The red color on the back won't go away.

Did you buy them as SSS thus unable to accept it as a SS grade? If you did, i'm not the least surprise, it's been going on, a lot of low grades being passed on as high grades for sale. Eg B grades passed off as SS or S+.

There are a lot of grading guides out there, where you can learn to judge for yourself before you buy. SS and SSS differentiation is not a fine line, it's a vast difference.

Crown heads and Flower heads, you may say it's a fine line. I am still unable to understand how is a CRS considered a flower head in some instances. I mean, I used to think flower heads are those with unique patterns on the cheek areas, but without the crown head effect on the top. But lately, i really go so confused, thus I am starting to wonder, maybe it's just a fine line?

May i ask if this is correct:

The lesser the red on body except head, the higher the grade?

And can i also check, at the SSS grade, are there bds with such a pattern?

Grade is not just about having lesser reds on the body. Intensity of color is even more important to me.

Generally, if there is no red on the body and tail, it's a SSS. Sometime back, a CRS with 4 white bars is an A grade. Lately, a CRS with 3 white bar was graded as S+. I am really VERY VERY CONFUSED with the grading system.

I still want to ask the same question! What constitute a Flower Head? How do we differentiate a Flower head and a Crown head????? No one seems to hv the answer, or no one dares to answer.

It's the confusion of grading that got a good handful (7 people till date) to vote "SSS" in this poll, when it appears more of the lot are only "SS" grade.

the grading is actually base on the pattern for C, B, A, S, SS, SSS. ( lets don't talk about the intensity of the colours yet )

C grades is those which looks like the first 3 red variant of the 1000s of wild bee shrimps breed out by Hisayasu Suzuki. there is no or thin white bands on them.
90%red, 10%white.

B grades has undefined white strips on their body. around 70%red 30%white.

A grade and S grade looks almost the same. Some differentiate by the numbers of white band ( 3 or 4 ), some differentiate the pattern from the side (tiger tooth, V-band) 50% red, 50% white.

SS grade will have patters at the back of the body, No-Entry Sign (big and small) , Hino ( big and small ) 30% red, 70% white.

SSS grade will HAVE NO RED ON THE BODY AND TAIL only the head will have red colour ( mosura /crown head/ flower head). Even with all these features on the head, as long as there is red on the body, the shrimp will still consider SS or SS+ grade, not SSS grade. 10-20% red, 80-90% white.

now come to colourings. will you call a pale white coloured SSS grade a SSS grade? or will you call a full red and solid white thin band C grade a SSS grade?

from what i think, we need a better defined grading system like those in Silane's Article

there's is so many patterns and definitions of colours for us to look out for. what i mentioned above is the basic pattern nia,

boss Silane did a more comprehensive description.
