Fine stainless steel inlet or fine plastic mesh inlet will be the next trend. They have holes small enough not to suck shrimplets in. Going to diy a plastic mesh inlet soon.

Plastic mesh?? put inside the inlet or wrap around the outside quick DIY and show us!!

Sure. Will be doing like the stainless steel mesh inlet tat gc sell but, will look nicer as the plastic can melt and join.

Thanks all for comments... but i doubt i gonna use stocking.. my mum prob scream at me if she sees a stocking in my tank ... i think i go find something else .. maybe u r right .. i shud find a mesh .. hopefully i can find 1

A pre-Chinese New Year gift to all of you.

Actually, there is a simpler way to go about it without much hassle. All canister come with an inlet holder. Just place some fine filter wool inside the holder will do the trick, make sure there isn't any gap exist. No shrimp or shrimplet will ever get into the canister anymore.

i DIY with stainless steel mesh like 2mth ago.. and its still working well.. will show some picture when have time! but its not very nice luh! but it serves its purpose!
