you can get them at Colourful. use those tea bag to contain the barley pellets and zip tie the opening. hang or drop the teabag in the tank will do. shrimps will be attracted to the teabag.

but then got some people dispute the effectiveness of the straw leh.
although it sounds good, can eat and can clean water, how many here actually thinks it works? i also wanna try someday |

I cycle for ard 3 weeks? Been a month since I put my crs in. 3 deaths so far, 1 when I first started, 2 this morning.

green chapter got sell barley pellets also less than 1 red note.. and i read tt these barley straw also helps in buffering pH.. so do u all still feed the shrimps after putting?

For me nope i just put in teabag and hang inside the tank no longer feed with barley straw. They doesn't since to want to eat nowaday i also testing i feed them excel for 2 days in a row than i change to feed the mosura crs speciality food (the bottle that came with a mineral plus) They also choose don't want to eat . Than choosy bugger.......

my crs are very choosing about food too.... have not tried the barley straws though...
my crs are also dying on and off and i dunno why. seems like the adults dying but babies are ok.... hopefully they died of old age or poor genes. i bought the initial batch from a single place so maybe cross breed and the genes quality gets worse... |
