I think the shell will slowly be decomposed. So I think shd be fine ah.

yep, i agree with you. got a pile of empty pest snail shells on the bottom of my tank, courtesy of my assassin snails. they might look ugly, but if you do the usual tank maintenance (water change, wash filter and gravel etc), they shouldn't pose much of the problem to your tank's water conditions.

for my tank, got a nice healthy population of assassin snails and zero pest snails. i don't change water frequently or wash filter but my fishes still ok. even got baby assassin!

My pest snails are under control by my assassins.. Haha

Except I get to see pest snails' empty shells here and there.

Bros my tank has 10 pieces of assassin 3 horned nerite and 1 tylomelania sp. snail. But the assassin doesnt harm them, anyone knows why?I mean i do not want them to get eaten but im just curious why none of them are beign eaten.
