Is not a matter of u setting up how big tank!!!Is more on wat shrimp u wanna keep. If u keep cherry,sakura,green or yellow u dun nd a chiller. But if wan to keep high grade CRS yes u need a chiller.

Yes I agree. It's not what you need to do but if it's a must for you to do.

End of the day, it's the bio load and how easy you wanna maintain your water in there. For 2 footer, a canister is preferred.
