You need to get water conditioners to get rid of the chlorine that presents in our tap water and also other harmful substances

Depending on the temperature in your tank's surrounding and what are you keeping inside, you might want to do some research of the faunas you want to keep and they conditions they need. If they need cooler water then you will need the fan or even a chiller like for example keeping of CRS =)
