I think it'll heavily depend on your interest.
If you think you love CRS so much you will only keep that and not change to other species of fish/shrimp in the next 1-2.. get the 3 feet tank as it'll save time when it comes to changing water and such. If not, get plan B as 2 feet is alot more stable for crs, no point reducing space for lesser shrimp |

not necessary sump, canister will work too.. in fact, cascaded tank work well with canister filter out to chiller then back to top tank. Use filter like Ehiem 221X for best effect, if the lower tank level is low.

you can arrange your tanks in a vertical manner and horizontal.

2 shy individuals did not want to ask me for how to implement shared chiller openly but via PM, for the benefit of everyone, I show it here.
Here shown 2 tanks, A and B, but in fact, u can have A to D or even more. And these 2 are not the only way to do it, there are many other variations. |
