Coincidentally, I m also staying at ground floor, but I m not so lucky as the room temp has never dropped to 26C with the lightset switched on. Well, regardless of raining season or not, I would recommend chill as it can maintain the temp and narrow the fluctuations to max, 1.5C. Too much temperature fluctuations may not be good for CRS.

Thanks for sharing!
I notice you using Eheim cannister. However you are using a different kind of inlet piping? Any particular reason for doing so? |

the sponge will prevent shrimplets from getting into the inlet hose. the replacement or washing of the sponge is also easiest with this. i can use a plastic bag and cover the black sponge and pull out to wash and replace with another sponge. or alternatively you can also buy those sponge and put it onto the eheim hose. for the inlet, i am using netting to cover. i used to use sponge to cover the inlet but it got dirty and pretty much clog the thing.
not sure if netting is a good choice though. how long do you intend to cycle your tank? |

will cycle and introduce plants 1st after another 2-3 days. and monitor the ammonia and nitrate and ph. most probably in 3 weeks to 4 weeks to let the plants eco system balance out. |
