My apologies, my mistake.

Have 1 set red and 1 set white. Now using the red one, trying out put 1 piece in front and 1 piece at the back. Effect not bad, but illum and coverage is very poor, compared to pl or t5.

White one got water inside, haven't really check it out after i got the lights from the bro who got from bro laodie. Anyway, it's 3ft, not 4ft as advertised in their posts.

Which is your preference, red or white?

Regards
Kheong

Main feature for nan is that it is submersible, aka waterproof. In that respect, you can slide in any fluorescent tube and it will work as it is. The tfc pink tube that comes with it serves to enhance the orange-to-red and red-to-redder in the tank. If just normal illumination is required, perhaps the white tube will suffice. Bros, please correct where wrong as still new to nan lights.

Btw, have a 4ft nan set without the black box to give away. 1 cracked end cap, but suspect is siliconable.
