any bros remembered the exotic bullfrogs that used to be sold in Qian Hu a few years back? They were fat,aggressive and colourful!! It's such a pity they aren't being sold anymore...
Anyone knows why? |

wah, i caught alot of those in the big longkang at pasir ris. what they eat ah? if can rear, i go catch some as pet.

Also known as Asian Painted Bullfrog.
I caught a few before, they would always be hiding under slabs of concrete or rock, especially after heavy downpours. I kept them for awhile, they would spend most of the day underground, only emerging at night to feed. If enough water is present and you have a mature frog, he will sing non-stop and very loudly, quite irritating..lol I think those fat colourful frogs sold last time were horned frogs or pacman frogs. Not sold anymore probably because their numbers were dwindling? I don't know... |

It's considered an invasive species. It's not native to Singapore. Was introduced from Malaysia. If you catch them you are probably doing the local wildlife a favour.
