mosses will grow anywhere man. with or without nutrients. tested and proven. they;re one of the hardiest plants. try giving them light, and cool temp, some co2, they'll bubble for u. with no fert added. Mine did and it doubled in mass in no time.

I have found java moss in abandoned tubs in shaded areas with water in the tub almost drying out. seems to be left there for months. and they still survived.
