Platies are very easy to keep & breed. Keep some plants (plastic's will do) or rocks/stones, driftwood (for crevices) at the bottom of the tank will do to provide hideouts for the fries. Baby platies hide at bottom of tank so don't bother with floating plants. Common food flakes will be sufficient to feed the small fishes.

Sounds great! Platies are my current fav fish in the community tank.
Infact, I have 2 tanks dedicated for Platies just in case they are breeding.
My baby platies are around 1.5 weeks old.
