If i'm not wrong... shorty's power consumption is 100w.. it requires 2 pumps.. one to draw water and another to 'chop'

However, i think the performance might surpass the beckett... price also.. haha

If i didnt remember wrongly.. it requires a a OR3500(65w) to draw water and a OR2500(38w) needlewheel to 'chop' the water... but the performance is about bubbleking grade lah... and can put in the cabinet.. but for your case no cabinet lah... so i think no difference

Decentkid:

Having a 700 litres tank means that you are using at least a 5ft tank because you have to take into consideration the amount of sand, LR, ht of the water to provide aa approx tank capacity.

I think there are already info regarding performance on Aspirating Needle Wheel & Beckett which IMHO, the Aspirating Needle Wheel will surpass the performance of Beckett.

What Bro Ekia mentioned is correct that the Shorty requires 2 pumps to perform specific task resulting in the skimmer efficiency to skim all the DOC.

The result: Bubble King Grade performance at a lower price.
