Actually i feel that they are already planning and building it already. They want to clear Paya Lebar airbase, clear tanjong pagar terminal, clear here clear there, squeeze squeeze here and there, oversupply HDB flats. All for a bigger population.

Bukit timah where they stay don't touch can already.

Will they clear SAF Lim CK Area D also? That big piece of land can hold another million!

Maybe it is really time to go try live at Ubin.

If I'm not wrong they are reclaiming land on Palau Tekong, southward (as seen from e air). Maybe preparing more exercise grounds so more land on mainland can be freed up.

An old uncle shared me his wisdom - if SG runs out of luck in future and the neighbouring countries prosper, then the current crop of PRs and investors likely migrate back to their countries. What happens to the properties prices then? Lots of empty flats then?
This is is very true even the so call new citizen can also easily pack and go and we will be stuck.

I heard the 10 million number was planned due to the experience during the the SARs crisis. When there is totally no tourist etc.. the domestic population we have cannot sustain the economy.

Compare here and study there, that is how they conclude with the number. But hor, if we reached that number or even near to it. Then for whatever reason, the new citizen or PR just decided to call it quit, the true blue Singaporean will be stuck with empty developments...
