can try to get those cupboard light at Ikea ...
IKEA got LED and T5 type...

I used a 4 feet T5 light which I got from TOYOGO... price is around $10 quite good.. can daisy chain also.. using electronic ballast

you can consider T5 lights from DAMA. individual switch and can cascade too.
