BTW...i use a 1000L/H water filter + 1/2 the rainbar to cause some water movement on the leftside...bubbles shooting down at 45 degree almost 2" deep...would that help or better off blowing currents as the curve tank side causes a relatively large current flow (as compared to the squared tanks). I cannot create large flows as some plants I added only recently...needs at least 2 weeks to let the roots hold the plants down. |

Of the larger puffers, the baby Fahaka or the mid sized Ceylon puffers I saw looks calm, kept in tanks of many....Raindow tank was like 2ft and had 10+ CP, Long Hu tank was 2.5ft and had 8+ CP. The baby Fahaka at CF looks calm and not fierce...Maybe when they grow up...then they become firece... My DPs are not really the monsters most websites claimed, unless u comm them with "itchy backside" fishes that chase or disturb them. So far my Zebra REs are quite ok....DPs are a damn Kaypo type of puffer and they kinda like to shoal in 4s or 5s when there is some movement else they spread out....but my REs so far did not even chase any DPs except for the "turn around & strike" that I caught them doing when I 1st added them in. As for the REs....I'll let u know tmr.... Maybe its all well as there was food....but the Tubiflex worms had run out + only the largest GS ware left...maybe fights will break out..... |

hehee.. just a thought..
cos last nite I browsed thru pufferforum n saw some amazing shots of humpback.. bro.. big or small puffers I also like.. anyway, I would say is.. looks can be deceiving.. What we observe is only their behaviour when being observed. What's going on in their mind or what is their personality... very hard to know.. Anyway, do cover up ur tank.. have seen/read that puffer will jump. Do stock up on ghost shrimps also..CNY coming.. * try frozen bloodworms better...safer.. |

haha..I just thinking only..hehe..
If really setting up, most probably will be just a 2ft tank with perhaps just 3 puffers.. (they can get big.. > 6inches type n they are messy eaters..) Quote:
