I got 1 boi and 2 gers....can tell by the red/brown line at the belly...only gers have them. I got a lot of plants...mostly stemmed plants to create rows or barrier...now my tank looks like a forest...will take pics when the water clears up....quite cloudy... For those bros who want to have a planted tank...I recommend using sand or gravel and not those artifical soil as they are like mud, hard to plant. |

A small chase sqeuence ensues....I guess having the DPs as bodyguards were a bad choice.... |

Boi Boi have chased the RE to the left side of the tank... Pic 2 Boi Boi chasing the RE to the back of the tank....DPs all kaypo Pic 3 & 4 Boi Boi coming from the back of the tank Sorry about the small and blur photos....these are the best of the lot |

BTW, how to stop the puffers from pacing up and down the sides ? I think they are chasing their reflection ?
The left side of my tank got plants...so when the puffer(s) go down...they get kinda get distracted by the plants and go sideways then they go off... But on the right side...they often disturb the zebra REs as very near their plant beds and the boi boi goes and chase the puffers away....at times he gets caught chasing "himself". |

puffer will pace up n down the tank if the tank is too small n they get bored. to solve this problem of cos is to change to a bigger tank... a more complex environment or a powerhead for some current flow will help.

Yeah... A complex environment helps alot.
But if the puffer really can see its own reflection, an aggressive one will try to "attack" its reflection. This is really different from pacing. Pacing is swimming against the glass, whereas if it is "attacking", it rams itself against the glass, with much more strength. I've seen my miurus and baileyi flatten themselves before ramming against the glass. Looks cool. |

I'm worried for my glass tank if fahaka grows bigger.. now I'm thinking of clearing my wolf for a group of arrowhead and humpback puffer..(since a lot of success attempts in comm-ing these two puffers..) |
