do you mean the length? or issit the holes diameter?
if length.. you can acctually saw it.. like what i did.. i saw it into 2 as the biggest one i got in that pack is 1 with hole 1 without hole.. so i saw that part off so tha the bamboo you see in my tank is with 2 holes..
as for the diameter of the holes.. i got differnt size one.. mine is 3 or 4cm one..
the pack i bought included 3 -4cm(biggest), 2cm, 1cm and one around 0.5cm(smallest diameter hole).

hi guys.. my comments on the charcoal bamboo after using it for close to a week..
my shrimps love it.. initial days they seldom goes in or go near it..
now they bring their food in and cramp together and eat..
after lights off.. they will go inside and hide..
shrimps become more active after adding the charcoal bamboo...
IMO its a good item to be placed into your shrimp tank

with regards to boiling or sunning..

from a friend who used to sell bamboo charcoal, she say have to sun it better..

once its totally dry.. u placed the charcoal into water u can see bubbles coming out from charcoal..

i myself see also quite shocked.. and became a believer on the spot..

guess i will take out the freshwater seaweed once per month or 2 month.. den sun the charcoal bamboo =)

I thought the charcoal bamboo tubes are for removing of toxic in the water? never thought of introducing it as a hideout.
