Check your Discus' head, you will probably see little specks or holes....Those white worms WILL infect your Discus, there is a " disease" called Hole in the Head...where "white worms" burrow into you fishes head and eat away,if it is left for too long your fish will be swimming around like a zombie with huge craters in their head.Oscars get this bad also....

Do a serious water change and add salt!

Not good to medicate water,as it might sterilize your males.I have raised many Discus, much better to mix some bloodworms/water/and medicine in a sterilized plastic bottle cap,net sick fish, lay on wet towel, have a seringe loaded with mixture and inject into mouth.

Face will go white, fish will feel better soon.Do this everyday for 1 week,by the end of the week the Discus will almost swim into the net for you....knows it is working.

Never lost one.
Just my 2 cents.

what does the discus look like? cramped fins? black black?
since the other 8 are ok i think the water parameters are fine.

could it be just not stabled yet?

if its me, i see the 2 discus black black got like "slime" on the body, ill isolate it in another tank. not worth for the disease to spread to the rest which would eventually wipe out all of them.

Default Black pepper on Discus

A few of my discus have black pepple spots on the body and forehead in between the eyes. Is there a way to get rid or minimise this?

Thanks

hi,

think your discus has got pigeon blood in them, not sure of anyways that can minimise the spots. maybe try to keep the fish stress free? and keep it in a white background?

higher temp can minimise them, as in less prominent.
