i use to buy 1 type dunno simi fish ( forget the name liao ) from Tekka the 81 stall . Cheap like tamban size and no scale after feeding . 1 kg $4 to $5 only .
Buy 1 time only after that never see before liao . heard from the auntie is seasonal fish not everytime fisherman can catch . The small fish is not like tamban or kuning silverish , its like abit beige transparent fish .
The most Senoko have for tamban is 8kg to 9kg whenever I can find.. it's usually snap up really fast by fishmonger.. I believe it's reserve by some regulars..

Most of the time buying kunning btw they last longer in the freezer too..

I also wonder if there is still gutted kunings bring sold? Let me know the price if have.

Today bought 1kg x 5 bags from Geylang Serai. $3/kg to me consider very cheap as NTUC selling $6.70/kg (always this same price ). To me, Geylang Serai still the best place to buy seafood but sometime too cheap also worry as the fish/prawns are already not fresh, very smelly... So just be careful...

up to you to believe anot, was advised by my dad's fish monger friend not to buy kuning from there. They soak the fishes in chemical.
