Using surface skimmer as overflow
Hi
As I have a couple of small tanks to house my crs. Thinking of setting up a central filter system to a canister and then through a chiller back to the tanks. Thinking of saving cost and not wanting to drill holes in the tank. Wondering if I put a surface skimmer to act as an overflow pipe in each tank and then filter into the canister, would this work? |

How will the surface skimmer draw each tank water to ur canister then to chiller then equally back to tank. If u can do this then shouldnt be a problem liao. Just my opinion. |

I use DIY overflow paip to connect my tanks but I wonder how to transfer water equally from each tank to the canister equally... For my setup, I encountered the water overflow and wet my whole living room as my frogbits blocked the water inlet.....

Thinking of using a inlet valve back to each tank to control the flowrate. Soon hong, how did you solve your problem in the end?

hehhe..just removed the frogbits...and move the frogbits to the tanks below...as the tank below only, the inlet is connected to the canister...so problems solved... I am not sure if you use the inlet valve will work......i think a bit risky

I think so too but no choice as I do not want to drill holes in the tank. By the way saw some mosur a in c328 but seems that it has some golden genes in it.
