Kois + GF can?

today my dad outta NOWHERE brought back a gold koi and jus throw into my GF tank... that koi is about 7inch liddat.. while my GFs are all only 3-4inch max... will the koi bully my GF? now my GF all hiding one corner... but slowly coming out... =(

I afraid the Koi will go near your GF and keep poking at them. You may try and I used to keep 10 big GFs with 2 big Kois, and when feeding time the Kois will just rush and hit the GF to reach the food. It's kinda bad. But you can try though.

yah the koi is like vaccuming my GF but not doing any damage... and hes blasting around the tank i dunno why... =.=~

In term of long period may result bad to your GFs. The Koi is stress so he is dashing here and there.

The koi is rubbing itself again object.Add some salt in 1st in and monitor.

This behaviour is what is known as 'flashing'. The koi feels irritated and is flicking itself against surfaces to try to relieve the irritation. There are many reasons why this would happen, here are a few:

1) Sudden change in water parameter. If the koi is suddenly moved into water with drastically different parameters. eg. pH/salinity
2) High salinity level.
3) Bad water parameters. eg. High ammonia/nitrite
4) Infection/parasites.

1) and 2) are ok as the koi will eventually get used to new environment (try not to keep high salinity for too long though), 3) can be fixed by water-changes. 4) is the problematic one. Doesn't sound like there was any quarantine process for the new koi, plus you aren't sure about the source. I'd be very uncomfortable in your position now. Might be good to monitor the situation closely and think about treatments if it is indeed parasites.

As for putting koi and gf together, like you have observed, I don't think it'd be very good for your goldfish in the long run.

Actualli depends on wad GF u keep...cos i have 1 GF with my koi...living very happily together. Mine is those comet GF frm feeder packet
